Chapter 150 - 150: An Interesting Story at the 4S Shop
“Yes, they are. I just bought them today!” Zhou Chao patiently replied to the security personnel.
“In that case, please make sure to keep them safe!” The security personnel didn’t dwell on it much, as long as it didn’t exceed the allowed quantity.
Zhou Chao boarded the plane with his luggage. He had booked a first-class seat, and his suitcase fit perfectly. He didn’t dwell on the earlier incident; after all, it was their job!
The plane took off on time, and Zhou Chao estimated that it would land at Fog City Airport at around 430 p.m. He had other plans in Fog City, so it seemed he would be returning to Fuzhou tomorrow.
Putting his thoughts aside, Zhou Chao closed his eyes to rest. Flying on a plane could be quite tiring.
“All, the feeling of Fog City is always so familiar!” Zhou Chao said to himself as he had already landed at Fog City Jiangbei Airport. He leisurely walked out of the airport terminal, dragging his suitcase.
“To the largest Mercedes-Benz 4S store in Fog City, driver. Hurry up; I’m short on time!” Zhou Chao told the taxi driver as soon as he got in the car.
“Got it! Buckle up!” The taxi driver said, and with that, he stepped on the gas and left Jiangbei Airport.
If you ever take a taxi in Fog City and say, “Driver, hurry up! I’m in a rush!” you’ll experience the speed and excitement of what’s known as the “Yellow Ferrari”!
On the way, the Yellow Ferrari sped like a rocket, covering a 20-minute journey in just 10 minutes. Even with Zhou Chao’s sturdy physique, he felt a hint of dizziness!
“Safe travels!” Zhou Chao greeted the taxi driver as he took his luggage and walked into the 4S store.
“Hello, sir, are you here to look at cars?” Zhou Chao was stopped by a young man even before entering the gate.
“Yes.”
“May I ask for your name, sir?”
“Zhou.”
“Hello, Mr. Zhou. I’m Xiao Wang, a sales consultant at the 4S store. Please come inside, Mr. Zhou!” Their conversation was completed in a matter of moments.
“Mr. Zhou, are you primarily interested in a particular car model?” After Xiao Wang guided Zhou Chao to the lounge area, he offered him a cup of tea. Zhou Chao took a sip, finding the temperature just right.
“Do you have any G500 in stock?” Zhou Chao casually asked, and to Xiao Wang, it felt like a bombshell.
Xiao Wang had only been at the Mercedes-Benz 4S store for less than a month, and he hadn’t sold a single car yet. Now, with the entire dealership empty, it was already dark outside at 5 p.m. Customers rarely came at this hour, so Xiao Wang had decided to stay and see if any potential clients showed up.
“Hmm? No G500?” Zhou Chao looked at Xiao Wang’s expression and thought they didn’t have any in stock, so he continued his inquiry.
Xiao Wang, who had just snapped back to attention, hastily replied, “Mr. Zhou, we don’t have a G500 in stock. We only have a G63 now, but it’s priced higher than the G500.”
“What’s the configuration, and what color is it?”
“It’s a fully loaded white G63.”
“Alright, how much does it cost?”
Upon hearing this, Salesman Xiao Wang started to feel a bit uneasy. After all, the price of the G63 was nearly equivalent to that of two G500S. He hesitated for a moment and then said, “It’s close to 4 million yuan!”
At Xiao Wang’s response, Zhou Chao stood up from the sofa, ready to check out the car. Unexpectedly, Xiao Wang quickly stood up and said, “Mr. Zhou, perhaps you could consider other models we have. We have many cars with excellent designs and performance. Would you like to take a look at some other options?”
Zhou Chao was taken aback by Xiao Wang’s reaction. He smiled and said, “I can tell you’re relatively new to this job, and it’s natural to feel nervous, especially in sales.”
“Yeah, this is my first month on the job,” Xiao Wang admitted. As they chatted, Zhou Chao learned that Xiao Wang had just graduated, and this was his first job. He had been working for nearly a month, but he hadn’t closed a deal yet. The manager had given him a final notice: if he didn’t make a sale before the Chinese New Year, he wouldn’t need to come back to work afterward.
“Haha, don’t worry! Starting a new job is perfectly normal, especially in sales. It toughens you up. I believe in you! By the way…” Zhou Chao’s pause made Xiao Wang look at him, waiting for what came next.
“I didn’t say I was leaving; I’m here to check out the car. Don’t be so restless. In sales, you need the spirit that remains unchanged even if Mount Tai collapses in front of you. Let’s go; show me the car!” Xiao Wang excitedly stood up, his demeanor now more composed as they headed to the showroom where the only G63 was displayed.
Zhou Chao took a look around, opened the car door, and thought it was quite spacious.
“Well, how much is the total? I’m paying the full sum. Calculate it, and let’s sign the contract immediately!” Zhou Chao’s words shocked Xiao Wang, who stood frozen in place for a while.
Zhou Chao glanced at him and then smiled, saying, “Aren’t you here to do business?”
Xiao Wang finally snapped out of his shock and said, “Mr. Zhou, please wait a moment. I’ll calculate it for you. Take a rest in the meantime!”
Zhou Chao watched Xiao Wang’s excited demeanor and couldn’t help but smile.
Shortly after, Xiao Wang came back with a budget sheet and a contract. Zhou Chao took the budget sheet, and he noticed that there were no changes on it, showing that Xiao Wang had a firm grasp of the pricing.
“Well, it’s about 4.05 million yuan. Let’s sign the contract!” Zhou Chao didn’t hesitate and promptly picked up the pen to write his name on it.
Xiao Wang approached with a POS machine, and Zhou Chao took out a black card, astonishing Xiao Wang once more before he swiped the card.
“Mr. Zhou, I’ve prepared floor mats and some fragrances for you. They’re already in the car. I’ve also refueled it for you. Here are your car keys.”
Sitting in the lounge, Zhou Chao watched Xiao Wang, who had just come in after busying himself outside. He nodded in satisfaction.
“All right, it’s getting late. It’s almost 7 o’clock, and I won’t keep you from leaving work. I’ll head out now.” Zhou Chao took the keys, put his luggage in the trunk, and drove the G63 out of the 4S store.
As he watched the car drive away, Xiao Wang let out a joyful roar. It seemed he had released long-suppressed emotions. Then, he took out his phone and called the manager.
Upon answering the call, Xiao Wang told the manager about his sale. The manager on the other end was also quite surprised by the news that Xiao Wang had sold a G63, but he quickly returned to his usual demeanor.
“Good job, Xiao Wang! Keep up the good work! I’ll send you a congratulatory message!” After saying that, the manager hung up, and soon, the 4S store’s chat group was filled with congratulations for Xiao Wang’s achievement.
Of course, none of this concerned Zhou Chao at this point. He had checked into the Airbnb he had reserved, which had a window view of the night scene of Hongya Cave.
“Hongya Cave is so beautiful; it’s no wonder tourists love to come here when visiting Fog City..”
