Chapter 41
There was a man who looked quite handsome by the side of the bed. He was sitting on a chair, and his legs were crossed.
“You don’t remember me? We’ve met before, on your mother’s wedding day.”
Chun Yucheng explained when he saw Luo Yangyang’s confused face.
Luo Yangyang recalled the events that had happened that day. There were so many people, so she had no memories of this person in front of her.
“Little girl, you were forced, right?” Chun Yucheng asked abruptly as he looked at Luo Yangyang’s pale face.
“…” Luo Yangyang blinked her obsidian eyes and looked at Chun Yucheng. She did not say anything in reply.
Who was he?
Why was he there?
It was already morning. She could only remember Feng Sheng carrying her and nothing else.
“Little girl, Feng Sheng is not a good man. You were forced by him, right?” Chun Yucheng continued to ask. He was too familiar with Feng Sheng’s tricks.
Luo Yangyang’s heart skipped a beat, and she looked at Chun Yucheng cautiously.
What did he know?
Why was he asking such things?
What did he want?
“Little girl, I’m definitely better than Feng Sheng. Why don’t you choose me over him? What do you think?”
Chun Yucheng’s sly eyes were shining. He leaned over the bed as he spoke to her, and he looked similar to the big bad wolf that had kidnapped Red Riding Hood.
“…” Luo Yangyang grabbed her blanket and backed away from him as she tried to make herself as small as possible.
Someone had drugged her on the day of her mother’s wedding. The man in front of her was not the man who had pulled her away and tried to harm her.
However, was he in cahoots with the man who had drugged her that night?
As she thought about it, she felt fear well up in her heart.
She looked at Chun Yucheng’s beautiful eyes, and her shoulders began to tremble. Suddenly, she threw back the blanket and jumped out of bed. She then began running barefoot toward the door.
She did not want to be there. She wanted to leave.
Luo Yangyang’s waist-length hair was draped on her back, and strands of her hair formed beautiful curves in the air as she ran.
Her small figure that was clothed in a hospital gown stunned Chun Yucheng, but what startled him more were her actions.
“Eh, why are you running?” Chun Yucheng exclaimed, “I haven’t told you yet, my name is Chun Yucheng!”
Before Chun Yucheng could finish his sentence, Luo Yangyang had already escaped from the high-end hospital room.
Luo Yangyang had run away out of shock, but Chun Yucheng did not chase after her. Instead, he touched his handsome face and muttered, “She’s so timid. Am I that scary?”
It was then working hours once again. Feng Sheng, after stepping into his office, received a call from Chun Yucheng.
“Sheng, I scared your woman away.”
Chun Yucheng propped both his legs on the hospital bed as he said nonchalantly.
“What did you say to her?” Feng Sheng sat down on his black leather chair after having walked to his desk.
“Nothing, I just told her that you’re not a good person and asked her to consider me so she can enjoy herself. She just ran away after that.”
Chun Yucheng had not slept the whole night, and he rubbed his temple in exhaustion.
“If you lay your hands on her, I’ll cripple you.”
As Feng Sheng addressed the matter of Chun Yucheng potentially stealing his girl, his tone was calm. However, amidst his words, Chun Yucheng clearly felt like he was being warned.
Nevertheless, Feng Sheng knew Chun Yucheng would not do something like that.
“You heartless bastard, you’d cripple me because of a woman? You’re so mean. I even watched her all night for you!”
Chun Yucheng uncrossed his legs. He would kick Feng Sheng immediately if the latter suddenly appeared in front of him,
“If there’s nothing else, I’m going to hang up.”
Feng Sheng said as he switched on his computer to begin his work. It was apparent that he did not want to chat with Chun Yucheng.
“Wait!” Chun Yucheng toned down his devil-may-care attitude and asked seriously, “Sheng, are you serious about Luo Yangyang?”
